Hillcrest, Contermanskloof and Majic Forest are a bit harder and it helps to be fairly fit and competent before trying them. Don't let that put you off though, both are great rides. Jonkershoek near Stellenbosch has an easy beginners route, similar to Koeberg in difficulty and is close enough for a Saturday or Sunday family outing. (I know you have to pay for all but Majic forest - but it really isn't too expensive for what you get. Compare it to going to the movies and it is a steal and much better. It is dirt cheap compared to even eating at the Spur.) Edited March 30, 2011 by DJR
nacho! Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 So I just rode Majik Forest today...it's horrible, what happened there? The track is full of small holes and bumps and it's not the rain. Next time I'll pay with pleasure at above mentioned places if I can only find a decent trail.
