Was wondering if you chaps might know a route from Durbanville/Bellville area through to town besides along the N1 of course! I stand to be corrected but I am sure that I noticed a cyclist on the platform at Oorstezee station

I would go to Table View and do the cycle lane from there

Voortrekker.

Thank you, the option to Table View and via the cycle lane was my first though but was wondering if there was maybe a less of a detour route. Voortrekker runs parallel with the railway line which I'm sure that I noticed some tarred route... but I could be wrong

Weather depending, (for me at least) we are planning a ride at Bottelary this Saturday 07/07/12. Starting at 07h30 from Hazendal.

Just be aware that you cannot purchase permits from Hazendal before 08h00 (same at The Only One Reastaurant), but you can purchase 24hrs from the Caltex Garage cnr of Bottelary and R304. Should you be caught without a permit valid for the day while on the trails, you will be removed.

THEREFORE MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE YOUR PERMITS BEFOREHAND.

For a complete list of places to purchase day permits, visit the Tygerberg Mtb Club's website.

edit.

Weather forecast is for 80% Light Rain from 06h00, diminishing to 40% at 12h00. Will also be cold, 10 - 14deg.

Just a thought - we don't have to join the other group on their ride; so why don't we all ride together from the HS (meet at 7:30am) to one of the places to purchase a day permit and then head to Bottelary from there and then cycle back? That way there shouldn't be any issues wrt everyone having permits?
