competition for fuji reveal

I'm in the market for a new bike, I have not settled on hard tail or soft yet.

I came across this bike from solomons, the Fuji reveal 2.0 (http://solomons.co.za/node/1265)

is there anything from another store that can compete with this bike in price and spec?

This bike looks like a really good deal.

Just remember when it comes time to sell that thing aint nobody gona want to buy it ,very low resale value for brands such as Fuji , you literally can only recover the re-saleable value of the parts , not the frame

Nothing wrong with Fuji. I have mates that ride the road bikes and MTB's and they are all very happy. Yes not much snob appeal, but excellent value for money. As far as I know Solomon's import directly from the Fuji Distributors Akals. They have some really nice 29er's on the way, my mates are waiting to see. Even the full carbon road bike they have with full SRAM Red, Reynolds carbon wheels and Ritchey carbon seat post, bars and stem at 40k, weighing under 7kg (apparently) is excellent value. Based on the above comment, most frames don't hold a lot of value when being sold second hand, just look in the classifieds.

Ok lets clear this up :

 

Fuji Bikes is owned internationally by Advanced Sports Inc.(ASI) they have offices in Europe, Asia, USA and Africa. Akals/Midas used to be the distributor but that changed in 2009 as there is now an office managing Africa and yes Solomons is the Distributor for South Africa for the Brands that ASI Africa own :Fuji, Kestrel, Breezer, SE Bmx and Oval Concepts.
