Hey guys,

 

It may already be within these 22 pages of posts, but am looking to see if there are any group rides that happen on a regular basis after work up Table Mountain? I know it's still winter, so there's not a lot of time before the sun goes down. Looking for something from 5:30 onwards.

 

Anything like this happening? If not, are there any people interested?

Thursday evening night ride at 6:30pm is all I can offer . Starts at the corner of Kloof & Ivy Street.

Table Mountain bikers: I've just posted this under "group rides" - if you are aware of a rank beginners or lazy man's group please let me know thanks.

 

I would like to get a group together for beginners or unfit people (like me) who want to get back into the sport. I want to see how much interest there is for such a group.

 

The idea is to form a group and do a combination of road and off-road in and around Cape Town / Table Mountain / Deer Park. Perhaps start on the weekends in the mornings and get fit together, make new connections and then look at doing longer distances and off-road/pedal power events over time.

 

I'm aware of Table Mountain bikers and the rides they currently do, but not yet fit enough to ride with them, and the intention will be to hook up with them over time when the legs and lungs can handle it!

 

If you are interested in becoming a more committed cyclist and joining such a group you can reply to this post. If there is already such a group please let me know.

 

I will be re-posting this and similar messages over a period of time for anyone who may miss this.
