Lights Lumens and what not

I went two routes.

I imported one light and bought two in SA. One from extreme lights and one from TakeAlot.

 

The one from TakeAlot is very dim at a claimed 350lumens

As a to be seen light it works. It has a flashing function that is not to destructive to a retina.

The one from Extreme Lights is a claimed 1200 lumens job.

It works great when it is dark (06h00 in July morning commutes) it lights up 80% of the paths in such a way that I have not fallen yet. It has a wicked retina burning flash function that works for Fortuner Drivers as well BMW cows.

 

The one light from China... Bracket is better. Not that o-ring job, but the battery sucks. Charger is a US charger. And the claimed 1000 lumens I will rate at 500. Also has a retina scaring flash function, but not as bight as the Extreme lights product.

 

Rather spend the few rands more and make sure you are not going to spend a lot more to get things working again...
