I am looking at getting a Epic 29er, but not sure what size to go for. On my Stumpy I ride a medium (I am 1.75) but find I have the seat very far back and the bars raised quit a bit.

I know for my hight I should ride a medium, just wondered if anybody else rides a larger frame on spez bikes than you normally would?

I am 1.8m tall and ride a large (19") Stumpjumper 29er. Feels like the perfect fit, with the seatpost set at #13 on the S-Works (400mm) post and the stem stack height at 30mm. My road bike (Tarmac) is also a large (56"), so is my dual suss Merida. At 1.75m, I reckon a medium is the right size for you.

I was on a medium Sworks epic 26er - Am 1.79m.

Bars were riser, 2 thin spacers, seat post on the minimum mark or 5mm extra in, I have ridden the medium Epic 29er, its a tight fit...

I ride a medium c-dale at the moment.

If you have a long upper body, you might prefer the large.

I was able to ride a medium stumpy, but can't ride a medium Epic, have to ride a small.

My OH could manage a large stumpy, but rode a medium Epic.

You will feel more spread out on an Epic compared to a stumpy.
