I think so, what day & time would be good for everyone?

Saturdays work best for me. Morning too, cos then it's not too hot... and we have time to test them afterwards

Iona rd... aaah! seems you found the Hurlingham line.

Is that what it's called… yeah, those were fun. Nice way to get into it as well since the jumps were pretty forgiving, being drop-offs mostly. I didn't have to be too accurate or smooth to line up for the next one. Those scout hall jumps look really nice, will have to drive over there from Greenside, though.

Hey guys have you seen all the Jumps Kevin from cycle fusion has built just down from eagle canyon?

I took some pics will try post them when I get a chance.

lots of bmx jumps and berms and some big free jumps he has been busy with a jcb its looking good also a little short course track for mountain bike I went by and checked it out today.

He called me and told me about what he has been doing and said anyone who wants must go ride it and give him some feedback.

Meeting at the Scout hall jumps at 7:30am on Saturday 3rd, stay as long as you can.

Plan is to clear the line, resurface and rebuild in some places.

Would be awesome if everyone helped out.

Yeah, they were levelled by city parks. From what I know, some lycra-lemming tattle-taled about how dangerous they were, so city parks took them down, The BMXers who built them are really peeved about it, not only because of all the hard work involved, but also because they were in the process of getting the green light from council to keep and use them.

Some people just can't leave other people alone. No one was forcing non-jumpers to hit the jumps. They weren't even on the main trail.

...and that is why we can't have nice things!

PS. I watched those jumps take shape. put a bit of labour in on them myself... and I gotta say, they were insane! Like pro-line massive-air crazy trick size insane!

You've got to be shitting me! Man, stuff like that pisses me off. As you say, nobody's forcing anyone to jump them, it's easy to skip past and spread your banana hammock at the local Vida instead.

The other thing that hacks me off is the council can't be arsed to do half the jobs they're expected to do but can find the time to quickly level jumps.

Anyway, see you guys at Scout Hall tomorrow, I'll get there around 9 with spade in tow.
