Cyclist hit on Swartkoppies by the Vlei?

My friend smsd around 9:30 asking about an accident scene she'd gone past this morning.

 

Said it looked bad, cyclist at the side of the road shouting, someone on a stretcher emergency vehicles & private cars that had stopped etc. but no further details

 

That's on my normal route, anyone know anything more about it?

Dammit! This is happening almost evey weekend on that road! I sincerely hope the rider is OK.

Ai, thats a terrible road, Yesterday I went to visit a friend of mine in Meyersdal at about 11am and coming down Klipriver right opposite the Panorama shopping centre a massive Bus had driven right into and over what looked like a Toyota, people under space blankets everywhere - the car was crushed to half its size and the bus had driven off the road and over the embankment.

 

It was an awefull accident and the road was closed for at least an hour - further chaos.

 

Swartkoppies / Klipriver....very, very, very busy roads, trucks, cars at high speed, busses...Uh-Uh, not safe for cyclists at all.
