I didn't want to go for the 'out there' designs. these are the ones that need all the stress tests because most of them are sort of 'y' shaped.

bicycle shape and geometry is very conventional and to change something that already works.... Why ????

As I said before I want to balance strength, cost and geometry.

I don't want to re invent the wheel guys.

Fantastic, give it some thought of placing the rear brakes inside the rear stays, look at Volcan 29,internal cable routing, and make sure one can fit two bottle cages on both frames, I see u in CT, Mike Beachy-Head who owns Thunder City has a huge amount of design and Carbon experience, get his input and he might even sponsor yr project, he's a great chap.

Good luck Buddy, I sure am proud of you.

The rear stay doesn't look stron enough where it meets the BB. Also, there is a major stress point at the rear suspension & BB (because of it being a pivot point) needs to be super strong, as the motion of the rear suspension will change the centre of effort.

Good luck with the project and keep us updated.

Remember: everyone said Gary Fisher was an @sshole when he started designing and making bikes, and look where he ended up...

I'll have another look at the design, thanks for the input.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
