The transport that was arranged to bring to Joburg as hand luggage will unfortunately take a little longer than expected. Does anyone have any recommendations on couriers to courier the bike? Any estimates of cost? Thanks.

Edge_Design Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I sent a roadbike to JHB from CT for R350 odd with DCB logistics. Cycle Lab packed it safely in a box for me at no charge and DCB did a door to door delivery. Every other quote I got was R800+...
LeTurbo Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I've sent one with CourierIt - about R500 for overnight delivery I think. I got a free box from Crown Cycles, some bublewrap from the office, and everything fitted after jiggling the wheels around a bit.

They won't give away anything without those details. The price is more likely to be based on the size than the actual weight so you can estimate the weight.
