advice needed on some bikes

i have posted before about the volcan and the momsem, must say i like the volcan 29'er, thanks for the advice on that previous posting

i looked on the net todat at the scott 29'er , anyone drive on, whats the price in SA?

Then i know alot of okes like Merida but there is so many models im not even sure where to look

specialized will prob to expensive for me

My budget is R25-30 000, and if i can get it second hand or a previous older model it will be even better to safe on cost

Sorry im currently in West africa for work so cant get to the shop and nobody seems to be open online about their prices in SA

I think a Specialized Stumpjumper 29er HT is less than R23k...somebody correct me?

Alu Spez about R20k and then the Carbon Expert I saw R31k at FPC http://www.specialized-sa.co.za/contentbike.php?range=201&year=&bike=237 but there's always some haggeling so about R30 seems good to me.

 

Merida only has an alu model 29er ht in your bracket about R15k with XT I think.

Also a Silverback Segma with XT that got good reviews.

 

Look at the Cannondale Flash Alu 29er 1 as well - R20 but I had a quote for R17800.

 

Volcan also about 30k with the X9 spec as on their site. Looking at the Spez for the same money, it will have better resale value IMO if thats important to you.

 

Maybe build a bike with a Rapide frame for R7,5k ? www.rapide.co.za

 

Have a look at the reviews in the Bicycling from a month or so back.

that stumpjumper seems like a nice bike also, but not sure if the colour white will work for me

any merida 29 fans out here with recomendations
