So getting replacements even between runs might not be as big an issue as you and me dropping another couple of grand large for new bars at the slightest hint of a kink/nick in the weave. Well here is proof that they DONT run carbon bars!! The Bontrager carbon bars that are mentioned in the spec come on the production bike as Bontrager is Treks in-house component manufacturer. So obviously they'll use their own parts! BUT ... Gwinny uses Funn Fatboy Bars on his bike ... check the spy shot from Dirt Mag http://dirt.mpora.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Trek99.jpg I wouldnt use Carbon Bars if you paid me!!!!
