hey guys

went through to breedts nek yesterday afternoon for some interval hill training (short side). have to say dont know what was tougher the steep bottom section or the head wind on the "flatter" section after the switch backs. was a great ride though.

i find it prefect for training as its just long enough for a good interval ride. (10-20min) my average of 4 climbs was 13:56 and you get a nice 3-5min rest on the way back down.( thats from the gumtrees at the bottom at the last little turnoff to the right to the pole at the top) looking at maybe doing it every tuesday evening now that the sun is up a little longer. it'll only get better (like my climbing hopefully)

anyway was a lot better than sweating in a spinning class. just thought i'd share

P.S was riding a 26" hardtail 32:20.

from the bottom to the top on the JHB side (Short side), for now just doing interval training up and down the short side until it gets dark.

once it starts getting dark later will look at going over and back acouple of times.

we just though we'd cut out the long 22km ride from the hekpoort garage as we wanna focus on climbing and the 3km climb is just right.
