divernick Posted October 26, 2012 Share I just received this request: Hi there. I am looking for 1 more bike for my third farm worker. His bike as stolen a year back and I have been unable to replace it due to finances. I run a non-profit organisation dedicated to vulture conservation www.vulpro.com and am not in a position to buy a bike at the moment. Bikes are essential for my workers as this helps them get around, buy food supplies etc. I have 3 farm workers and they are like family to me. they keep the farm and animals going and help with all our vulture conservation work at the Centre. It would be hugely appreciated if you can help or know of a spare bike somewhere which is sitting around, doing nothing... my contact details are on the website but also here at kerri.wolter@gmail.com or 082-808-5113. Thanks so much I need a 26-inch fork and headset so that I can get a bike to this guy. Thanks! Edited October 26, 2012 by divernick
zeabre Posted October 28, 2012 Share Would you be interested in taking old tubes and tyres. Mix of road and mtb. Obviously used but still some tread left, seems a waste to chuck out. Cpt area.

I've got plenty of tyres and tubes here in jhb. Contact the Bicycle Empowerment Network in Capetown, I'm sure they'll appreciate the donation: 30 Eastlake Drive, Eastlake Island, Marina da Gama Cape Town, South Africa http://www.benbikes.org.za/images/clear.gif P.O. scotty Posted November 1, 2012 Share I have a 21" Trek 4300 V brake complete bike, "donated" by one of the regulars at my rugby club who tried cycling but did not enjoy it. Bike was bought in 2009 and if it's done 100km its a lot and been standing in his garage since. "Donated" because he mentioned he wanted to get rid of it and offered it to me, he had a few to drink and i was not sure if he would change his mind when his head cleared so i quickly went round to his house and fetched it. Let me know if you want it. Edited November 1, 2012 by scotty
