So I attempted my first MTB race yesterday and would like some feedback from any of the seasoned riders out there:How does the 45km Springclassic compare to other half-marathon events (Nissan Trailseeker events for arguments sake)? As this is now the only reference I have for a race I would like to know how the other events will compare. Overall I think I didn't do too badly as I achieved my goal of not getting passed on any of the climbs (and doing quite a lot of passing myself). Thanks for your input! I have completed a couple of races over the last couple of months - Nissan Hazaldean & Teak, Honda Adventure and a couple of others. Racing in the 40km races. This race was a good one, and my thoughts on it, is that is matched up very nicely with the other races. Good climbs and some really nice singal track...
