Mr Mod, I hope this is the appropriate forum.

I need practical advise from some people who have perhaps suffered the same injury?

I played a game of squash after not playing for 20 years.

The next morning I was stiff and very sore but the pains in my backside and hammies soon dissipated and I was back on my bike. Normal.

Whilst riding I felt no pain but was aware of the little niggle at all times.

Prob now is nothing is healing so off to a Physio for rubs, heat and acupuncture. After the second visit I am told my injury must have been a "Grade 3" and not a "Grade 2" because my resistance got worse since the initial consultation.

It has been suggested I go to a biokeneticist for further treatment.

Been told to do nothing for 6 weeks.

Oh dear, don't know if I can do this.

Any suggestions, help advise.....please?

Thanks

Go see the bio, and be very particular when doing the exercises prescribed to you.

Squash is a seriously tough game on muscles especially when you have not played in 20 years. I remember how my ass used to feel after not playing for a few weeks let alone 20 years!

Slow and steady when getting into a different form of exercise.
