The bb is higher than an average bike setup so you do sit a bit higher, but it gives you better clearance and you dont get as much pedal strike. Check what the Whyte frame warranty is like, I've riden a Marin for the last 10 years and within that time have broken 2 frames, they've replaced them no questions asked.
