well a friend of mine is interested in getting 1, we both based in cape town and i know there is a whyte dealer only in jo-burg (which already means parts will have to be shipped down), just trying to get as much rider-perspective info as possible for him

A mate in Cape Town saw some Whyte bikes at Epic bike shop. Was a few months back, he nearly bought one of their cool steel bikes. Not sure if they still have, but they probably can get easily

They are great bikes.I can only comment on the full sus, it can take a heap of abuse. The bb is higher than an average bike setup so you do sit a bit higher, but it gives you better clearance and you dont get as much pedal strike. Check what the Whyte frame warranty is like, I've riden a Marin for the last 10 years and within that time have broken 2 frames, they've replaced them no questions asked.

I've only heard good things about Whyte bikes. I have 2 friends that work in the industry who have tested Whyte bikes. Both fell in love with them. Both considered selling organs to get one!
