Garmin firmware update

I see there is a firmare update from 3.7 to 3.9. Last time I did a firmware upgrade I lost all my settings and my total km's :thumbdown:

Can I expect the same with this update? it is such a mission to setup again. Garmin software should let you back up your settings and then restore

do you have to do the update? I run with the policy - if it ain't broke, don't fix it....

Like you policy Tiny K but I like mine more, don't do any software updates in the first month of release, check the garmin forums and see that all the reported bugs are fixed first.

Check the Garmin website chris it will give you a list what has changed from 3.7 to 3.9

 

Sometimes its not woth the bother when there are no major changes but just a couple of tweeks. I would still wait a month ... or two

The update to the 310XT from version 3.7 to version 3.9 fixes a lot of the issues arsing from 3.7.

 

The good news is that you don't lose you settings or history with the upgrade from 3.7 to 3.9
