I did tell him but he said the young girl must learn for life...keep your correspondence in order...equal treatment for all and that stuff. Imagine he'd give you a bigger inbox - Muddy would be on the doorstep immedeately demanding his boom boom room again and all those wishing for extra's!

I agree - if I have to look at the mountains and sea one more time I am going to go mad. I can only appreciate so many whales in the bay. As for those baboons - what pesky little creatures they are.

 

And who wants to look at row upon row of vineyard. And don't get me started on all those foreign pros who think they own the place!!

 

well' date=' say what you want! Going to Stellenbosch it's boring, going in the oppsoite direction, yes, you have a nice view at the end but that doesn't make the road you are on nicer or more challenging. There's much nicer roads to ride on and enjoy.

Yes, you did step on my small toe - my family designed that road 200 years ago - I am a little sensitive to people speaking negatively about it. (Just joking - my family didn't actually have anything to do with that road... feel free to abuse and mock it)

 

I have to agree though - the road to Stellenbosch is boring, but the guy is coming from the UK - I am sure he will love it. He won't have time to ride to a thousand times, and so, unlike us, probably won't get too bored.

 

And counting pro's is a way to make it just a little less boring. (Same as counting the cateyes - I keep loosing count though).

Thanks for your responses - I am what you might call a "veteran" - 52 years old, been riding since the year dot. I ride in UK/European sportive events, and am looking forward to the Argus next year. However the weather here in England at present is total s**t so I have been off the bike for a while. When I get my travel plans organised I will get back in touch!!
