There was this guy a while back who's Raleigh 3000 got stolen.

I also have a Raleigh 3000 -- oldish bike which I have gotten back from a friend who bought himself a new bike after trying out the cycling thing.

This bike is about 7 years old but still in good working order and was recently serviced although the service cost more then the bike (and they washed it)!!

The bike is a size 54-56 (not 100% sure)

I am willing to donate this bike to that guy whos bike got stolen because it seemed he could not replace it at the time.

If we cannot find him (or if he has already gotten another bike) then perhaps you guy know of someone else in need of a bicycle.

As I said, everything works but dont expect a new bike. (this bike has done 7 Argus races)

I live in the Cresta area.

No worries. That bike has teached many people to cycle. It has been a loan bike for friends the past 4 years. It deserves to have a new owner who will take care of it as it will only stand in the garage in any case..

I will be relying on you guys to help me find a suitable candidate and not some guy just selling it a week later to buy other stuff.....

Here's an idea, how about us hubbers build up a loan bike that can travel between needy parties ? Instead of building a bike for X person which is kinda like giving a fish to someone but not learning them how to catch their own kinda thing...

Would it work ? What do you think ?
