Normally cycle in afternoons

i ride from douglasdale (i live next to the pick&pay) most afternoons, starting at around 5pm.

all the routes i do are strictly offroad.at the moment i usually end up on the braamfontein spruit at some point, but i have other routes out in the dainfern/ lonehill/ broadacres direction too. my routes are between 18 and 27km. i average 17 - 19km/h.

Im relatively new to the sport and am looking for a group to ride with. Trouble is, im busy every weekend morning. Soooo does anyone ride or know of people that ride on weekday morning..???

Maybe we can start a fb group for rides randburg or just use this post and just post when we going and specify a place in randburg to meet.. Say for eg 16:00 at kia malibongwe drv like rhe krugersdorp fb page does... Just a not that im still a noob and cant do to long or hard rides yet but will join for what i can

I too am a novice in the saddle..........so short and slow to start off is fine. If you are talking morning rides that equals 4:30 in the morning for me because I leave for work at 6.......does that work? I am in Norhriding -- nearish the Bellairs Mall.

Tuesday mornings @ 4:15 for 1.5H, MTB on tar, pavements/footpaths when it gets light enough. Singlespeed @ about 20km/h ? Malibongwe, Republic & Rabie streets

howzit we (MattyEMD, Merida_man and JcMeyer15 on twitter) ride some mornings (5:30-7:00) and some afternoons (17:30 till Dark) from from honeydew ridge/rock cottage/ eagle canyon area down the single track along beyers to muldersdrift and back along the single track along the river. 25-50km depending on the route and time availible.

 

MattyEMD and I are also on SingleSpeeds so not a crazy fast ride.

you can get ahold of us on twitter and we'll let you know when we doing or next ride. Did one yesterday 25km 1h17min 311m ascent. so will probably ride again next week as Merida_man is doing 3towers. and we are riding breedts nek from 08:00 on sunday (three groups 25km, 50km, 100km) you and anyone else welcome to join. I'll be the guy on the bright yellow SS with the rigid fork.

Im quite new to riding and don’t get that much time but even if I just get to ride with you guys once a month it would be awesome !

 

Currently I do afternoon rides in the roads and pavements around my house 8 to 15 km a shot and try to once or twice a week cycle to work from randburg to Sandton.. then once very second week or so I go to a track/trail and do 10 to 15 km…

Just mailed you. I am looking for people to ride with on a Saturday arvie or early Sunday. Currently have a route in the Douglasdale area that is quite fun. Actually have a few routes i do depending on time available. Am slowly increasing distance and fitness post op so anyone is welcome to join me. PM me and I will send my email addy.
