kamikaze Posted October 11, 2011 Share i ride from douglasdale (i live next to the pick&pay) most afternoons, starting at around 5pm.all the routes i do are strictly offroad.at the moment i usually end up on the braamfontein spruit at some point, but i have other routes out in the dainfern/ lonehill/ broadacres direction too. my routes are between 18 and 27km. i average 17 - 19km/h. Say for eg 16:00 at kia malibongwe drv like rhe krugersdorp fb page does... If you are talking morning rides that equals 4:30 in the morning for me because I leave for work at 6.......does that work? I am in Norhriding -- nearish the Bellairs Mall. jcmeyerSS Posted October 12, 2011 Share howzit we (MattyEMD, Merida_man and JcMeyer15 on twitter) ride some mornings (5:30-7:00) and some afternoons (17:30 till Dark) from from honeydew ridge/rock cottage/ eagle canyon area down the single track along beyers to muldersdrift and back along the single track along the river. 25-50km depending on the route and time availible. MattyEMD and I are also on SingleSpeeds so not a crazy fast ride. you can get ahold of us on twitter and we'll let you know when we doing or next ride. Did one yesterday 25km 1h17min 311m ascent. so will probably ride again next week as Merida_man is doing 3towers. and we are riding breedts nek from 08:00 on sunday (three groups 25km, 50km, 100km) you and anyone else welcome to join. Im quite new to riding and don’t get that much time but even if I just get to ride with you guys once a month it would be awesome ! Currently I do afternoon rides in the roads and pavements around my house 8 to 15 km a shot and try to once or twice a week cycle to work from randburg to Sandton.. then once very second week or so I go to a track/trail and do 10 to 15 km… added the twitter guys . Actually have a few routes i do depending on time available. Am slowly increasing distance and fitness post op so anyone is welcome to join me. PM me and I will send my email addy.
