They retailed for sub R15k and had the same spec as the XTC 0 only with an SLX crank (which weighs 40g more that the XT conterpart). a R5k increase for the 2012 bike with similar components seems excessive. Bought two of these and they are great.
Giantxtc29er Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I own a 2010 xtc 29er, have been riding it now for almost a year and a half. And it hasn't given me any problems! And it's an awesome bike to ride ( some of my mates even sold there more expensive carbon dualies for one of those!) The wheels are extremely strong and light but they are just very difficult to try and convert to tubeless. So for the moment I'm still running tubes until I can afford a proper UST wheel set.
Bat-ass Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Superb frame.... in any colour...Not hard to get the bike under 11kg. just take the existing wheels (hubs) and have a set of ZTR crests built onto them with Double butted spokes.

Pieterg Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Still think the Merida Big Nine 900 is a better buy .I'm on a Gaint XTC3 2006 so Gaint is my personal choice but bang for bucks can't beat Merida

MTB_Roadie Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I have the 2011 XTC....it comes with a Shimano SLX/XT mixed. I noticed the XTC 0 comes only with Deore....which makes the 2011 better value for money
