I did it last year - swim was fine - bike course is ok, not too much climbing and the run is pretty flat.

It is a fast course, just dont over cook it on the slow drag up tp Ladium - X2 laps.

Run is a 4 lap which is pretty flat - just watch out for the heat.

Nice race - I`ll be a spectator this year!

Enjoy!

Just checking on the TSA web site they refer to GNT members I'm assuming these are Gauteng North members ? So they get to pay R180 and if you are a non GNT member you get to pay R250. This kinda seems a little strange surely it should read TSA members R180 non-TSA members R250. Whats up with this or have I got it all wrong ?

I should see you there. If we are only 100, then we can get a decent swim time. I'm convinced it's all that wrestling that makes me a(n even) slow(er) swimmer

Gripen I am not sure only being a 100 people will prepare you for the upcoming IM season. Therefore I will make sure that your swim will be of an IM standard......

I will follow you and randomly attack your face at close intervals............

It's also ITU so does that mean Road Bike / Draft Legal / Clipons or can we use TT bikes.. nothing on the website. No information at actually. Will there be water points? Maybe that's why it is so cheap.

Ok guys does anyone know the organisers as they are not answering their email as given on the website...

I need to know:-

1.) Can we wear wetsuits? The last BSG in Harties they allowed all amateurs to do so even though the temp was above the norms. I hope it will be the same as the recent rains probably ensures a siff dam. Also with the pro and amateur races being split it should be possible?

2.) Although the race is draft legal, will my IM bike setup be allowed? (long tri bars etc)

3.) Will they allow "crates" inside the transition area? With the change of rain being good, I would appreciate to keep my running shoes etc nice and dry and it sucks having to remove our crates

Where did you see that the race is draft legal? I will be super pissed if I show up with my TT bike just to be told I cannot race. Also find it strange that an Olympic distance race will be draft legal?

I also dont see anything anywhere about race registration/number collection? Anybody know? So far organisation of this race look really dodgy....
