Besides the wheels/tyres, what are the major differences between a road bike and a cyclocross bike?

This 58cm bike weighs in at under 8kgs and has a lot of road parts - that is light considering the type of riding these guys do.

Brakes are different, centre pull like old skool MTB, otherwise groupo seems the same (?)

And also being a northern hemisphere winter sport, nice to have something to follow now given the road and mtb seasons are over.

Todd is also doing very well, he gave J-Pow a hard time on Sunday to take second in a race in the USGP series (streamed live on Velo news) And this is after winning the Lu Ruta mtb stage race in Costa Rica a week ago.

BB sits a lttle higher and chain stays are shorter. Most guys ride compact double cranks but there are a few that run single chain rings.Ride is very similar to road bike.
