Open water suggestions required

Would anyone know or have suggestions for where I can practise more open water swimming in the Cape Town region. Somewhere, if things go pear shape for me ... I can be rescued.

Saturday mornings at Clifton. R40 pays for lifegaurds and is a 150m lap with markers in the water,so you practice going through the swell and back out. Do 7-10 laps depending on the cold.
