HomerSimpson Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I have been using the Aksiums for about 6 months now, and I can honestly say that I am perfectly happy. Can't say that I have noticed any real issue in the wind (of course, now that I have read this thread, the next time I ride in the wind I'll probably imagine that I do feel the effect!).I believe the Shimano WH 550's had some issue with spokes breaking regularly. My son uses a set of WH 560's and has had zero problems in two years of use.
Mr MacPhisto Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 After having the WH550's and breaking the spokes a couple of times I got a set odf Aksiums, really tough wheels.... no problems over the past 8 or so months. They are however a bit on the heavy side, but makes a decent training wheel
