Milkworx, if you can ride and run the 4km route in the botanical gardens (Emmarentia) in terms of technicality, you will be OK. It is really easy.

Cool thanks, did the Xterra lite there in Jan, just wanted to know if it would be the same level of difficulty (the run killed me!!)

To be more specific, u head out on the run route out of the gate, then tar for a while and then you turn Right into a secondary road for quite a couple of Km's, then u hit a bit of the Xterra route when u come back but it is really the rideable non technical bits. Just that last rocky hill before u drop off into that last section before u turn right to transition. That is once again of memory serves me.

More importantly their is rain predicted for Friday which could spice up the route.

I remember last years after the floods you had to ride through a few mud holes. Was awesome!!!

Am looking out towards the Magalies mountains, as the crow flies it would be around 10km or so to Buffelspoort and its been raining most of the morning (had about 30mm where I live since yesterday evening).

Who is still doing this event on Sunday? Looks like the rain will continue until tomorrow with a chance of some sun on Sunday.

you gonna use a wetsuit for a 600m swim ?

Definately!!

I swim at least 10% quicker with Mr jingles on....................

So I will swim 10min instead of 11minutes.

It takes me 40m secs to take it off so its all the same.

What better race to practice it then this one?

I just stand up and step out of it. Dont sit down, thats normally when the problems begin....

You can also consider taking it off while still in the water..... much easier.....
