I assume tour de ppa is a normal ppa race and we can enter up until the thursday before the race? 31 Jan for early entries; late entries according to availability. Except 123 km. All other online entries close 7 Feb 2012. Tour de PPA: PRE-ENTRIES CLOSE 9 January 2012 google is your friend....

Not sure about anyone else, but I now rarely book more than 1 event ahead (Argus excepted). Broke 2 ribs on the Lourensford MTB a couple of years back, and lost out on bookings I'd made for rides over next few weeks while they healed. I guess I need to put that behind me and stop being a pessimist!

I guess I need to put that behind me and stop being a pessimist! umm....It's the first Tour de PPA ever..... Pre-booking races has always had my doubts as you have just said. I prefer to only do it a month in advance at max (except for Argus as you pointed out).

Use to do it but 1 year ended up loosing quite a bit of money with a nr of races a could not do
