Errrr .... I think I'm gonna need a bigger tank then. Can't seem to find any listed on BuyCycle or CRC. Google did find this one though, but I'm not sure it's quite the right sort of bicycle tank

Entered for the 123km  Hope i don't regret it.

Zac, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. If you get seeded in my group, we can ride lekker together.

On that note, when is the seeding groups being released?

We'll probably only know once we get our numbers.

I have never done the 99er before. How does this compare to today's race (Boeckaert Soenen)? Its a simular distance. I know it ends with uphill finish but time wise, how does it compare?

Longer by 3Km (apparently) and 200m more climbing. We didn't start at the right place for the recce ride but no climbing lost there, just a bit of distance. If the stats show in Miles, top right is a thing 'view in metric' - that's what you want.

Kris you a machine with these maps and stuff. Looks like there is bit more elevation for the 99er. Times should be couple of minutes slower but not much. Thanks bud

Depends how broken you are by the time you get to the bottom of Vissershok ...If you're nackered the way I probably will be, you can loose a lot of time over those last two "bumps"

LOL. I get them from Garmin Connect - I just upload after I ride them and get the stats.

The others I map on mapmyride - I like to know where I am going to be riding and what kind of climbing there is going to be.

This race is gonna be a killer especially for those last two hills.

I've been broken by the time we swing off the N7 on both of my previous two attempts at this ride, and those were 15km shorter. So whilst I'm hoping my training this year will see me in better condition by then there is a strong sense of dread at seeing V.... again (I can't even type it's name). Gonna have to banish those thoughts on the day and just ride it like I don't know what's coming

Yeah, gotta save a handful of matches for the final 45 minutes of this route.

And, the extra 15 kms are very testy rollers as well.

There were several riders riding the Vissershok ascent this morning.

One rider was walking it.

Final preparations for next Saturday is underway.

Does the shorter route, 75er I think, also ascend Vissershok?

As far as I can see, it's a 50Km ride this year, and yes, it goes over vissers - out on adderley, right on philadelphia and then follows the rest of the route as per the long route.

Not left on Philadelphia? If it goes right, it is the long route.

We did that exact same route this morning, and from my house to back to my house it is 56km.
