b-unit Posted December 12, 2011 Share I ride from the cnr of H/S and Lynnwood most Tuesdays and Thursdays but am looking for some longer rides to do over Dec with base training in mind. davetapson Posted December 12, 2011 Share Regarding safety. I ride out on the dirt roads around Baps, and have never felt threatened. (Talk about tempting fate!) However, I've ridden the railway line roads around there, and although nothing has ever happened, there have been times when I've ridden past groups of locals walking along the railways and my heart has been in my mouth. They are just so hidden, normally being in cuttings etc. However, common sense says that ambushers are more likely to be close to a settlement, and on known mtb/cycling training routes.
