After the first ride: do you guys know if you can brighten it up a bit? For instance a bit of red on the wheels (XCR stickers) and red fork stickers will go well with red grips.

Hi guys What an absolute pleasure this bike has been! Coming from a fairly specced hardtail (scott scale 910 carbon all XT) this bike is a world apart. Even after a few rides I still smash sections on the downhills and technical sections at my local park, Wolwespruit. And it's no slouch going up either. I have been considering going over to a full suspension for some time and I can kick my butt for not doing it 5 years ago. Thanks for the excellent advice!

Hey peeps I need an entry if anyone has one available. I can enter at registration but won't be seeded. Preferably A batch (which I hope doesn't have that same oke from last year that sped up Fox Hill at the pace of a Serena Williams tantrum at a Wimbledon final!)

For me the race scored 9/10. Was my first time and I tried it on a cyclo cross. Managed a 4:08 which I'm very happy with. I'll come back to try go get in under 4, but probably on a mtb this time. The bad-ish thing was for the long que in the sun to get beer, which we eventually got from the waterfront. A tip here to the organisers is to rather serve cans like they do at the big races in GP. It takes 15 seconds to pass someone anything between 1 and 24 cans of beer but muuuuch longer to make the same supply in draughts. also you don't have the plastic waste. just my 2c.
