Swimming socks shoul never be allowed. Real IM should in fact not be allowed to shave their legs.

and no wetsuits?

eina just thinking taking a wetsuit off with leghairs could be an eye watering experience

sorry for the hi-jack but this makes me think of a time we went diving in capetown.... i was using a dry suit which is notoriously difficult to get on and off because of the tight cuffs. Someone recommended that i use KY jelly on the wrists and ankles to get the suit on and off, i will never forget the look on the cashiers face when i put down the eight tubes of KY jelly she must have thought i was on my way to one hell of a party

I sometimes train with swimming socks, they do make you a fair bit faster. So I'd say they would be a considerable advantage. I can't remember my feet being cold though. I think between 12-15 degrees is manageable, you get used to the cold after the first 5 mins or so. Main thing is to avoid getting a dull headache..!

Just for the record, Gripen always trains with his teadrop helmet as well as IM shirts etc. The only thing he still needs to complete him is one of those IM tattoos on the back of his neck.

Dude, Gripen even trains with his racing belt and last years number on. He still has the IM stickers on his bike and specifically requests them not to be removed when servicing it....

His car is full of IM stickers etc.
