D-Mike Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I recommend the Weeride. We have a Weeride and we are very happy with it. I can't say that I have tried the Ibert, but the Weeride does appear much more sturdy. There is several threads with comments on this. I recommend you do a search and you will see load of comments. Good luck in making your choice. BTW, the little ones love it
_freak_ Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 i have had a look at both of these and the weeride just seems better, my opinion

D-Mike Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Thank you MJ. Do you still use yours or do you maybe want to sell? No, we use ours. Just bought it this year Plus we have a second little one on the way So we will be using it for a couple of years to come.
D-Mike Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Oh, btw. We looked at buying the Weeride overseas and having it shipped in, but buying locally was cheaper and quicker. We bought ours at Canal Walk City Cycles for R1500. Another thing, have a look at the Weeride website. They have a video clip showing how to use it, how it works and the benefits thereof. After having had a look at the videoclip I was convinced that the Weeride was the right one to get.

ibruegge Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 if you have the cash to spend and want to go seriously riding, this is the Ferrari of child transport: http://www.pro-biketrailer.net/
D-Mike Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 if you have the cash to spend and want to go seriously riding, this is the Ferrari of child transport: http://www.pro-biketrailer.net/That is pretty cool. My only criticism is that the kid is behind you and there is very little interaction between yourself and the child once your on the ride. That is what is great about the Ibert and the Weeride. This however is far better than the units mounted over the rear wheel.

Also space for toys, nappy bag etc. Love the trailer, and even do single trail with it.
LethalDose Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Weeride, all the way. The set-up just makes more sense - child is better protected between your arms, they have a good view and bike control is not significantly compromised especially on a L or XL frame. Our baby wants te get into her's everytime she sees it in the garage. The attahced pic is from her first test ride in our complex - shortly after the lid was put on and even that was accepted without a fuss.
Skaap Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 weeride on a small frame is a bit of an struggle. you cycle like a cowboy, other wise your knees hit the seat. saddle hight also needs to be lowered , so long rides get bad...
Grebel Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) I bought a Weeride through Takealot.com. It was a fraction over half the price of a local unit.  WeeRide R879 incl shipping!! I was then contacted by Grant (Local agent who offered to match the price but I had already ordered mine). PM him (User name Joji) he might cut you a deal... I haven't used the iBert but I chose the Weeride after looking at both!
