Easier to repair when punctured.

If you're a seriously committed rider who wants marginal gains in your performance, such as the low rolling resistance of tubbies, it is a good thang.

If they're only for racing you might as well go tubbies. They are lighter and roll better. Pump them hard and put some stans in and you will be less likely to puncture than with clinchers. I only use gatorskin tubbies. Never punctured with them yet. If you puncture a clincher without a backup car you're not going to win anyway. Edited December 20, 2011 by Lucky Luke.

Warrior Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Leave the tubbies for the PROs and get the Zipp 404 Firecrest Carbon Clinchers. With a set of Vittoria EVO Corsa CX tyres and some Latex tubes you will have many fast and cost effective miles ahead!
