This quoted 10 min ago: Due to waterlogged conditions on the course, organisers of The Herald VW Cycle Tour have announced changes to Saturday's mountain bike routes. Although the races will still go ahead as scheduled, race director Brad Jackson said certain single-track sections would be cut from the 80km Extreme and 60km Adventure for safety reasons. He said they would do their best to keep as close to the original distances as possible. Updates will be posted on social media.

Cuba Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 Hi all The Herald VW MTB Challenge is still going ahead tomorrow but unfortunatley due to the heavy rains the organisers have had to alter the routes for safety reasons. The course is wet and muddy.

Sacrosanct Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I have also pre-entered, but after my previous expensive mudbath experience I had at the Katberg Mtb Challenge, I will probably chicken out of this one. That Katberg was one heck of a race! Haven't suffered like that in a long time...
