I am looking for a biggish all mountain tire for the front of my bike and really like Continental Rubber Queen 2.4. All the reviews I read say that this tire is huge for a 2.4, even bigger than a 2.7 Maxxis which makes me concerned that it wont fit in my Reba fork? I have run a 2.5 Michelin Wildgripper with no problems in the past.

Has anyone fitted a 2.4 Rubber Queen to a 2008 Rockshox fork? Did it fit? What other big, all mountain tires should be considered? A riding buddy has the Maxxis Advantages 2.4 (I think) and loves them. What about Highrollers?

I run a 2.5 Maxxis High Roller with an older model Rock Shox fork. There is no problem with clearance, but the only problem I have noticed is that because the High Roller has an aggressive tread with the knobs spaced far apart, stones and stuff tend to get logged between the knobs and then scrap the paint off of the under side of the bridge of the fork. Made myself a 'protector' from a tin can for this and it works great.

Other than that, no problems.

The tire itself is a bit heavy but it has amazing braking and cornering grip.

Also have a 2008 Reba, with a 2.36 Kenda Nevegal fitted. Have found that this is probably the practical limit due to some stone scoring of the underside of the arch. If stones catch in the tread they can scrape...

Almost ditto - glued on a strip of rubber cut from an inner tube
