Oh my soul I can't wait!

Last year the racing boys did the 60, but there were a couple of strong guys on the line for the 45. This year might be different. Where the better prizes are might also be where the racer guys go.

My advice is to do the 48km route. If you have the legs that is.

And that would be?

Is the quickest way to Gaansbaai from Cape Town via Hermanus?

I would say for Sat morning the best way would be via Hermanus

If you are in a hurry then via Caledon could be quicker, but if you take a wrong turn........

A short cut would be to go via Grootbos, but be aware that this is on a gravel road with a steep downhill. The directions below are from Stanford to de Uijlenes via Grootbos.

Depends how the traffic in Hermanus is.

Have to drive slower as from Hawston, 90 odd km/h coming down to 80 and 60km/h from Sandbaai through Hermanus.

Consider going through Caledon, travel towards Bredasdorp, take Standford turnoff.

Just have to slowdown before Caledon and in town.

The 45 was a great ride with serious climbing and super fun downhills. Great area to ride in, fynbos as far the eye could see. There was no mud, as in none, even though a light rain came down during the ride. I could not believe my bike was still clean after the ride.

Thanks Corrie.
