I use Lourens Calitz as my wheelbuilder, even We Bike used to take wheels to him to get build,lol!

It depends which tyre really, did 2 schwalbe snakeskin ralphs in all of 2 minutes, conti UST MK and RK combo little longer, maybe 5 minutes for two tyres. Geax saguero tnt, took me and a mate close to 4 hours using alot of soapy water, those green crowbar tyrelevers and a 12 beers. You are completely stuffed if you have to remove a geax tnt tyre in a race.

I just had a set of Hope hubs built on to ZTR Crest 29ers by Ruan Deysel at Spokeworx. Great wheels - but great builder IMHO. I have a set of 26ers built by him as well. FWIW - choose good hubs and rims with a tubeless bead and then a good wheel builder that knows about getting tension in to the spokes. That is where the smoke, mirrors and magic lies. Hope are bulletproof as hubs. I am a big guy - 100+ Kgs. WRt the ZTR rims they have a bead the tyre pops (like a car tubeless) in to and yes a Geax is best left to the bike shops. Similar experience to prior post. If that tyre flats then push the bike home cause you aint getting it off the bead whilst riding, especially on a ZTR rim. But a ZTR wont burp at lower pressures because of the beads which other lesser rims will do. Burps can lead to bloody and injurious get offs as metal aint got that great a traction when the tyre has gone sideways off the rim...
