Speed sensor on a Cannondale Lefty????

Is there a way to measure distance without using a GPS or without putting your sensor on your back wheel?

 

There is not space to put the sensor on the Lefty itself so that it can still pickup the magnet. Anyway not with the convensional polar speed sensors.

 

I tried to put my sensor on the back but I think its to far from my watch it does not pick it up all the time.

 

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I did see somewhere that you can try attaching the magnet to your brake rotor and then the sensor below the boot on the the Lefty, have not tried it yet myself.

You have to mount it on the right fork blade for accurate speed and distance, if it is on the left fork blade, like on a lefty, it sees the wheel in reverse counts backwards. Use a GPS. Much simpler.
