I think my bake brake pads got contaminated. For some reason i don't have any braking power on my back wheel. The brakes aren't spongy but it just doesn't grip at all. I've cleaned my rotors with spirits and lightly sanded the pads down wtih some fine grit sand paper. Any suggestions?

i don't think its organic pads. it must be some sort of soft casted iron. its the standard pads that came with my scott comp 29er. i'm going to bleed the system tomorrow again and reply back with the results.

What about the discs themselves? Try cleaning them with engine cleaner and wash off with water. Clean my chain, cluster and discs with it. Cleans really well and stops on a dime.
