Suntour now plays in teh big leagues, introducing it's first ever dual crown DH fork, the Rux. While the name Rux is not new (used on a previous model Suntour fork), the dual crown offering is a whole new beast.

Suntour Rux details:

• New dual crown DH fork model

• 200mm of travel (internally adjustable)

• 38mm stanchion tubes

• RC2 damping cartridge (sealed, serviceable)

• Air sprung w/ volume adjusting spacers for a linear or progressive feel

• Externally adjustable rebound, separate low and high speed compression

• Direct mount stem compatible top crown

• Weight: TBA

• MSRP: TBA

• Release date: TBA

The Rux offers enough tire clearance for even the largest volume tires that are currently out there (

). The fork's 20mm thru-axle system doesn't require any tools, but it does differ from Suntour's tool-less Q-Loc axle clamp in that it has been designed to provide more clamping force.

More over Pinkbike.

my first impression was: "that looks like a marzo"..

nonetheless, I hope they pull it off big time. Their recent XC forks have been getting seriously good reviews, so they no longer just a Game/Makro/super market special. Suntour has massively stepped up it's game in recent times, so this is just a natural progression of their aggressive strategy to make Suntour a name worthwhile of any fork category. I'm seriously curiously about the price. While many of us would think that they have a chance to bite market share by coming under the big brand names because they a relative unknown, the existing market prices would probably let them believe their offering is worth the same pricing.

you'd think they could have spent an extra day on design and manufacture to come up with a better frame protector. Those cable ties and rubber look almost as bad as DHK's "ear muffs".

Although, with 38mm stanchions one could just buy the marzo ones

hahaha!

well, I'm justt worried that they'll miss such detail on the finished product!

Otherwise it's a pretty good looking fork. The bridge seems a bit thin compared to the current DH forks on the market, But I'm sure it is sufficient

agreed! i was actually a bit concerned with the 'flimsiness' of that arch. <_< the marzo i had and the boxxer both have much beefier arches.

Ja. And the earlier 2010 boxxers were well known for cracking there so it's deff an area that does get hammered
