Glass of water and a spoon of cement springs to mind :whistling:

But seriously, you need to come and ride with us.

I was thinking more along the lines of helium to help me float up the hill :D

PS: Hydrogen might be better, but I do not want to 'pop' if things go wrong

I enjoyed the 50km. Organisers did well with what they have. Well done to them for getting to be able use parts of the equestrian side of the farm for the race.

Not everyday that you can ride 50km at Northerns without doing some kind of double lap! I did not experience any bottlenecks

Well done again!

Behind what ? OK I thinks its official - I suck on a bike

46minutes behind the front!

Hang on in there. I've moved from 5km runs that sent be to the ortho surgeon (ignored him!)/sports doc/podiatrist/bio after a 5km run, to 15km fun rides, to no real worries any more (other than 20 years of neglect after school). I'm not blazingly fast either, but I'm happy!

That was a massive improvement on the last one I did. There was one issue on the route though: the organisers had bunting across where we were supposed to go. Some of the leading okes assumed we should turn right but fortunately others saw the route markers, logic prevailed, and we went through the bunting. It was the right way, because we ended up with 53km. Hard to get the route right when it looks like an intestine.

I managed third overall on the single speed and I'm flippin happy with that. RE:CM rode well as a team. They were constantly leaving dead wheels so the other could get away. As a result, we spent almost the entire race chasing either Neil or Waylon.

Giving the 'big boys' something to think about again with that SS!

Well done!
