thats it in a nut shell cap ... there are still the haters (Brendog) ... and Gee to some extent - but talking to Gee after the race he wasnt too critical ... ALL the riders say that its Insanely Fun to Ride .... but it SUCKS racing it.

And I agree totally ... but what race run is ever "Fun"??

I'm very amused watching the armchair crits rage on and on that the XC track was too outrageously this that whatever drivel they can moan about. Three really technical obstacles, which even a pint sized hottie did without so much as a whimper, and suddenly it's too difficult.

honestly nige, how dare u influence the XC track builder with your charms. Such sacrilege to not provide manicured XC tracks. tsk tsk. go lap your own track 10 times as punishment!

From the pressers after the finals, the podium placers were chuffed with the course, but they woild say that, wouldn't they? Hahahaha! Kidding. Even the riders I spoke to on Sunday were complimentary after their practice runs. Good job.

shot Tumbles ... but ya as for the XC ... "what a **** course ..... if you are a closet golfer who pretends to be Burry that is ..." ... hahaha

WOW nick did an awesome job with that track. the only difficult bits are Shakas Playground and the TreeHouse rock garden.

I still havent got up the balls to hit Shakas Playground on the hardtail 26, but its a breeze on the Trail bike ...

The "large" dropoff before it where Speedy broke herself is so simple ... You can almost hit it in your sleep its so easy.

The treehouse is also simple on the fullsus but takes a bit of preision on the hardtail 26 ...

But thats what XC should be like ... hard climbs (which burry said have to be harder for next year  ) with sick singletrack and tech downhills.

The ONLY guys who whinged about it were the local SA guys who cant bunnyhop a pavement!
