Is this thread still going? It's not really rocket science and I still think it's being overcomplicated. The short answer, in my opinion in any case, is that there is not short cut, no pill, no magic horse pee, nada, nothing. No offense, but I would guess that most people here on the Hub is not pro enough to warrant really serious training methods like what has been mentioned in this thread. Climbing is about pain. Period.

TITS and JRA are somewhat overrated for those who are time-challenged ;) Hence the quest to squeeze out the last 1% out of your TRAINING.

Yup, before you can squeeze your training for that last % of performance you must use all your available training time first!

So here is the one from Wednesday, not much different from the others - BUT, it has made a HUGE difference to my riding in general. To the OP, great thread! Thanks to all the others that provided the advice and the tips and hints.
