Gerhardc Posted March 28, 2012 Share Has anyone noticed in this year's Cape Epic that Burry's 29'er frame is not the same as Sauser's 29'er frame??? It would seem as if Sausie is on the 2012 Specialized Epic S Works 29'er and Burry on the 2011 Specialized Epic S Works 29'er.... Have a close look a pics and TV tonight....... I'll in the mean time try to source pics, but I have for sure noticed a difference in their 29'er frames where the top tube meets the seat post! Wonder why??? A personal prefference by Burry to ride the 2011 model!------------------------- Here is the pic!!! Burry's left....Sauser's at the back (right)...notice where the top tube meets the seat post.....Sauser's is for sure the 2012 model Epic 29'er and Burry's the 2011 Epic 29'er! A personal prefference by Burry to ride the 2011 model!What should worry you is that Suzie drinks less than Burry.Suzie has to carry that heavy GoPro.But notice how it faces backwards, great idea ,it might get a bit boring just seeing video footage of an open road. Yes, and if Burry was 5cm shorter the shox could have been connected directly to the headtube with no need for a toptube. that would have saved him some weight... I heard somewhere they actually built him a custom/test frame just like this, but he so badly wants to run 29er wheels that they couldn't get it right, because under suspension load the two wheels kept on touching eachother.
