Iron Posted March 28, 2012 Share So you wanna tell me this one is a large And this one is a medium So why does the Specialized site then specify one as the 2012 model frame and the other as the 2011 frame? colour is the diff of the two years , but the frames only look diff becuause of size .thats it .Burry and Suz are riding the same year bikes
TheV Posted March 28, 2012 Share Yes the one is Large, the top one is 2012 and the bottom one is a medium 2011. Correct - also evident by the Kashima+Autosag sox that the one is 2012 and one is 2011... Most companies usually take pic-chas of their medium or small bikes because they look "nicer" on camera for some reason, i think it has to do with the proportions to the components, etc.
Wyatt Earp Posted March 28, 2012 Share Here is a 2012 Epic in a medium we built last week. No auto sag. That's on the Stumpy. Edited March 28, 2012 by HairySack
Iron Posted March 28, 2012 Share Fact is that their 2 frames differ in appearance! They will look diff as the little triange at the bottom of the seat tube will get bigger with the bigger frame , thats it ! not rocket science .
Wyatt Earp Posted March 28, 2012 Share I was not refering to size...but year model...And then ?
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted March 28, 2012 Share Correct! The Large is bigger than the medium, so by virtue of the bigger size the braces need to be bigger
Gerhardc Posted March 28, 2012 Share So if I ordered a medium 2012 Specialized Epic S Works, I will not get this frame?

gtr1 Posted March 28, 2012 Share The reason Suzie's camera points backwards is that it's the only way you will get to see any other riders :-)

Jaco-fiets Posted March 28, 2012 Share The only problem with those frames is that it is not Cannnondale
TNT1 Posted March 28, 2012 Share So why does the Specialized site then specify one as the 2012 model frame and the other as the 2011 frame? You wont find the bikes being used in the race on the specialized website. They are custom built one off frames. Much like you wont find an F2012 on the Ferrari website. You can't go and buy one of them. Stop scratching your head.

Wyatt Earp Posted March 28, 2012 Share The only problem with those frames is that it is not Cannnondale I know, shows you how blessed the current and last year Epic leaders really are, so I don't think it bugs them too much :whistling:
