Very sad news, drivers need to wake up. Over the last two days I have almost been hit twice, both times on local dirt roads and not the main tar roads. Got city idiots out in Magalies who just swerve all over on dirt roads. Caught up with one idiot and had a scene. His excuse for almost colliding with me was because of a hole (tiny depression) in the road! If you crappy townie car can't handle some ruts in the road then stay at home!

what does "almost hit" mean ? is it like a near miss ?

SA roads are too dangerous to do cycling on. Motorists will never wake up, and as long as there are cyclists sharing the road with cars, these fatal accidents will continue to happen.
