On Friday I spend 1:30 hours on hill repeats and yesaterday we (Myself and 2 others) went for a long slow ride but after 80km my legs started to give in. I pushed myself to finish the 120km ride (avg 31 kmh).

Is it a good idea not to rest after doing hill repeats?

Am I over training?

Do you gain anything if you keep on riding if you legs are dead?

I could only manage half the climb with my normal speed and then my legs are dead then it is survival mode until we hit the down hill again.

All you did was over-reach. Over training is something that happens over a longer period of time, not one session.

HIT sessions (intervals/hills/repeats) should be followed by easy riding or complete rest the day after, not long steady distance.. After a LSD session, take an easy day as well.

speed work and hill work works best and give you the best results when you fresh

doing this distance probably would have been ok if you are totally fit and if you were doing it at a slower pace , for me personally i take 48 hours off after hard hill or speed training

Depends what you are preparing for... If its a multi-day event, this type of training (at the right time) is great; but you need to work up to it, and ensure that you cycle your training properly to ensure enough recovery at some stage.

Leg pain/fatigue is one thing, but if you have central fatigue (elevated HR etc over a period of time) give it a break...
