Guys,

Not sure if this has been discussed on this forum yet, and I know it is a personal thing (ie what works for me might not work for the next person), but do the Powerbar products work for you, and if so, are they any better than the other products on the market such as USN, 32GI etc.

I find that the PowerBar Isoactive and the Isomax drinks work very well for me - has anyone tried them for endurance races, and what is your opinion of the products ?

I will be doing a three day mtb endurance ride (not a race) so would just like to get your opinion...

My wife and I did the Notties - Himeville 100 last weekend, I rode with 32GI Accelerate in our Camelbak's and two PowerBar performance energy bars for nutrition.

I really liked them, palatable and IMHO better than the USN bars, I have already started stocking up for SANI2C

I am keen to try the Powerbar gels, absolutely hated the USN Grapefruit ones.

Their gels unlike most do no contanii caffeine ... which is great for me as i feel the caffeine gives me stomach cramps ect.

Powerbar gels are excellent. these gels contain more electrolyte/carb value than Hammer or Gu (Pace&Power-Megan can advise further megan@paceandpower.co.za ). very good sustained energy.

you could also consider EnduraPower, same thing but in a drink form, doing away with gel wrappers/litter hassle, neutral flavour works great.
